Who we are
Anchors ("we," "us") is based in Viana do Castelo, Portugal, and operates anchors-marketing.com. For anything in this policy — a question, a correction, a deletion request — email business@anchors-marketing.com or message us on WhatsApp at +351 962 180 669. We are the data controller for everything described below.
What we actually collect
This section covers every place on the site that collects anything — nothing is omitted for being inconvenient to disclose.
Contact form
Name, email, an approximate revenue figure, and whatever you write in the message field. Used only to respond to your inquiry.
Free tools (Revenue Leak, CAC Payback, Readiness Score, Package Configurator, Website Grader)
An email address (and optionally a name) to unlock your result, plus the numbers or answers you enter into the calculator itself. We use this to show you the result and, separately, to follow up about it. The Package Configurator does not collect anything — it has no gate.
My Anchors account
If you create an account: your email, name, and an optional company name. We never create or store a password — sign-in works by emailing you a one-time 6-digit code, which is stored only as a one-way hash and expires after 10 minutes. If you use a calculator while signed in, its inputs and result are saved to your account so they follow you across devices.
Facebook Login
If you choose "Log in with Facebook" instead of the emailed code, Facebook sends us your name and email address via their own Login API. We never receive your Facebook password, friend list, posts, photos, or anything else — only what's needed to identify you, exactly as if you'd typed that name and email in yourself. Meta Platforms, Inc. processes this exchange under its own privacy policy, independent of ours.
Site analytics
We log anonymous page views and button clicks — which page, which button, roughly when. This is deliberately built without cookies, without storing your IP address, and without any identifier that could be linked back to you personally. There is nothing here to request a copy of or delete, because nothing here is about you specifically.
WhatsApp button
Clicking it opens a chat with our own WhatsApp number in a new tab. We record that the button was clicked (same anonymous analytics as above); WhatsApp/Meta then handles the conversation under its own privacy policy.
Cookies
- Session cookie (My Anchors): set only if you sign in, so you stay logged in as you move around the site. This is strictly necessary for the feature you asked for and doesn't require separate consent under GDPR/ePrivacy rules.
- Facebook cookies: if you use "Log in with Facebook," Facebook's own SDK sets cookies required for that feature to work, governed by Facebook's cookie policy, not ours.
- Meta Pixel (advertising measurement): where active, we use Meta Pixel to measure how our ads perform. It sets a third-party cookie and is off by default — it only loads if you click "Accept" on the cookie banner. Click "Decline," or ignore the banner, and it never loads. Your choice is remembered for about six months, after which we ask again.
- Outside of the above, we do not use advertising, retargeting, or cross-site tracking cookies.
Why we're allowed to process this (GDPR Article 6)
- Consent — creating a My Anchors account, unlocking a calculator result, or using Facebook Login are all things you actively choose to do.
- Legitimate interest — responding to a contact-form inquiry, and running analytics anonymous enough to carry no personal-data footprint in the first place.
- Contract necessity — operating the account features (saving results, keeping you signed in) once you've asked for them.
How long we keep it
- Login codes: deleted or expired within 10 minutes of being issued, whichever comes first.
- Account data (email, name, company, saved calculator results): kept while your account exists. Ask us to delete it at any time and we will.
- Contact-form and free-tool submissions: kept as long as needed to follow up, then deleted on request.
- Anonymous analytics events: not tied to you, so there's no per-person retention clock — they're simply aggregate usage data.
Who we share it with
Nobody buys or sells this data, ever. It's shared only with the processors that make the site function:
- Hostinger — our hosting provider, which stores our database and sends our emails on our behalf.
- Meta Platforms, Inc. — only if you use Facebook Login, to authenticate you and hand us your verified name and email.
Your rights under GDPR
If you're in the EU/EEA (or anywhere, honestly — we apply the same standard everywhere), you can ask us at any time to:
- See what we hold about you (access)
- Correct anything that's wrong (rectification)
- Delete your data (erasure)
- Limit how we use it (restriction)
- Object to our use of it (objection)
- Get a copy in a portable format (portability)
- Withdraw consent you've previously given, at any time
Email business@anchors-marketing.com for any of the above. If you feel we haven't handled it properly, you can lodge a complaint with Portugal's data protection authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD).
International transfers
If you use Facebook Login, Meta may process your data outside the EEA under its own compliance framework (Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent). Everything else stays on infrastructure serving the EU.
Children
This site is intended for business owners and operators, not children. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If this changes, we'll update the date at the top. Significant changes will be reflected here directly rather than announced separately — check back if you're relying on a specific detail.
